Subsector Notes:

The Wolf subsector population in 1119 was 22.7 billion. Most of these, 15 billion, were on Adni (2330). Lianma (1727) was the subsector capital and was home to 2 billion, and was TL-15.

12 planets were part of the post-1123 Duchy of Oasis polity.

New Era census population is 15.2 billion, a decrease of 25%. However, 11 billion of the subsector's population reside on Adni. Five planets remain in the Duchy's sphere: Bacelbron (2223), Lonely (2324), & Provalan (2325) are Crown Colonies; Dust (2224) is a Cemetery world; and the Duchy's spinward naval base, Cossor (2424).

The best starport (B-class) is at Cossor, which also has the best TL (11).

Planets of Note:

Alcau (2030): Boasts a C-class port, TL-10, and remnant Imperial Naval base. There are 23,500 personnel in the space force, out of an armed forces manpower pool of 1.5 million. The Alcauan Space Navy consists of seven large ships and 24 small ships, most of which are at least J-1 capable.

This is the coreward capital of the "Alcauan Federated Combine." It contains the worlds of Aerobacter (1931), Dongon (1932), Epshu (1933) and Oxherde (2032), and the cemetery world of Mettari (2130).

Efforts to unite the nearby world of Laner were rebuffed recently. The Jumpstart cache and former Imperial naval base on Mettari is the source of squabbles between Laner and the AFC.

Adni (2330): A large industrialized Terran-like world, rich in resources. Adni is the heavyweight population planet of the subsector (11 billion), and is second only to Irap (2630) for the entire sector. Impersonal bureaucracies dominate political form. Due to the Collapse, and various folks responses and experiences with AI Virus, an anti-sentient robotics xenophobia swept the planet, stabilizing the world at TL-9 (an acceptable tech level of low automation the governments felt). Extreme laws govern commerce with offworld sources and not all of the nations conduct trade, some are quite xenophobic, hence the Wilds rating in its alg code in her UWP. The Duchy of Oasis hasn't had the same success here with trading as they have with Irap.

Cesall (2321): An agrarian world from antebellum times, Cesall maintained its B-class starport throughout the war. It was downgraded to C-class as a result of the Collapse, but even that is an unusual achievement. Despite the die-offs, the Cesalli have endured the storm well. Free Trade is welcome, but anti-viral measures are in place.

In the past fifteen years, Cesall has begun to work the two belts in system to support her spacecraft industry. The Duchy of Oasis has contacted them, but, as of 1200, the government has yet to put the issue to a planetary referendum.

Space forces number some 9,000 personnel. There are 3 large ships and 9 smaller vessels, two thirds of which are armed, jump capable merchant craft. Fleet includes 1 ore freighter (10Ktn/NJ, TL-D), Lanthanum Queen; 2 Ursula freight tractors (2(4)ktns J4(2)/1G, TL-D); 3 Drakaran SDBs (600dtn, 5G, TL-D), 2 Hawker patrol frigates (990dtn, J4/4G, TL-D), 1 400dtn Buffalo Jump shuttle (J2(1)/1G, TL-B), 2 Wilds traders (800dtn, J3/2G, TL-C), 2 Stretched R-class merchantmen (600dtn, J1/1G, TL-A), 2 Stretched Morraine class traders (300dtns, J1/1G, TL-A).

Laner (2230): This once densely populated world has reverted to a technophobic state, run by a corrupt civil service bureaucracy. It has rebuffed attempts to be included in the Alcauan Federated Combine polity spinward and rimward of it. The port is owned and operated by the Starfarers-Mercantile Guild, who have the government deep in their pockets. Laner is an exporter of TL-7 weaponry and munitions by way of Guild ships that put into port here.
