Ruekoza Subsector: The Ruekoza Subsector has an estimated population
in 1202 of approximately 10 billion, a decrease of 81% from its Pre-Collapse
population. Luerraghalue has the highest population (5 billion) while
Ulgonguerghur has the highest tech level rating (9). The Ruekoza Subsector
had an estimated population in 1120 of approximately 53 billion. Its highest
population was 20 billion at Ardsdoekh and Orghoungvog. Ruekoza and Zoeng
had the highest tech level (14).
Subsector Notes:
Rebellion Era:
Orghoungvog (1712) is an important Industrial world for the Baknae
Alliance. It helped to secure their foothold in this subsector.
Ulunrrong (1915) trades heavily with Ardsdoekh (2015), an
industrial world, for the technology it needs to keep its starport
functional. The relationship is mutually beneficial as Ulunrrong, an
agricultural world, provides Ardsdoekh with the bulk of its food.
Corsair bases operate on 4 worlds in this subsector: Kaez (2116),
Oeghzagh (2216), Lloghurs (2217), and Karr (2318).
Originally part of the Kforuzeng, this squadron amicably split to seek their
own fortune.
TNE:
When Virus arrived at Orghoungvog (1712), in the form of a large fleet,
it encountered stong opposition from the Navy. The Vampire fleet eventually won
the battle but sustained a significant number of casualties. To avenge these
casualties, the Vampire fleet infected the industrial complexes and set about
manufacturing robots with the explicit intent of killing the Vargr. Well over
19 billion Vargr died during the ensuing carnage. The remainder were enslaved.
Decades later, the descendents worship the robots and industrial complex
computers in fear. A brave few have escaped the cities, which are nothing more
than ornate internment camps, and have formed resistance groups.
Ulunrrong (1915) has barely managed to keep its starport open. In
Pre-Collapse times, Ulunrrong traded heavily with Ardsdoekh (2015), an
industrial world, for the technology it needed. Now, spare parts are few and
far between. Some of its agricultural products are still tradable. Sometimes
these are exchanged for parts that have been relegated as scrap by other
worlds. Sometimes expeditions are sent out to explore cemetery and fallen
worlds to poke about in the ruins for something salvageable.
Despite a brave attempt to fend off an invading Vampire fleet, the fleet at
Ruekoza (1917) was defeated. Having been warned by the Domain of
Deneb of the dire threat that Virus posed, most of the inhabitants evacuated
the underwater and grav cities when the invading fleet was first spotted. It
proved to be a prudent move. After defeating the Vargr naval forces, the
entire computer infrastructure was infected. All infected cities and
installations, quickly descended to the ocean floor and flooded themselves.
Oekha (2018), another People of Wanz world, also heeded the
Domain of Deneb warnings. The downport was completely shut down before the
attack. Copies of technological templates were made and hidden in isolated
caches. After Virus finished ransacking the system and moved on, the
rebuilding began. This course of action enabled the government to maintain
its charismatic status with the populace. It has remained intact to this day.
Success came easily to the corsairs of Kaez (2116), Oeghzagh
(2216), Lloghurs (2217), and Karr (2318), until Virus hit.
Only those on Lloghurs survived. As time wore on, the starport became
inoperable. Now stranded, the corsairs decided to raid the other communities
they had previously traded with for supplies. Raiding gradually evolved to
a quest for total world domination.
Thosaedhuedouks (2319) was run by corrupt bureaucrats who were in
league with the local corsairs. When Virus came and eliminated their support,
an angry religious movement began. The local chapter of the Church of the
Chosen Ones decided that corruption would be weeded out at any cost. They
are now the dominant governmental entity on the world that they have renamed
Luerraghalue. Corruption has been replaced by prudish oppression.
