• Beer Brewing: After many years of drinking the stuff, I started making my own.
  
  
• Guitar: No link to offer here right now. I picked up the guitar at 18 and have played in a couple of bands though the years. One band actually got out of the garage and onto the stage, recorded two albums, and had a minor hit on a college radio station. These days it's hard enough finding the time to play let alone getting my pc set up so that I can record directly into it.
  
  
• Traveller: I don't know what other writers do to stay loose. Write some more? To keep the rust at bay, I run campaigns in a sci-fi rpg called Traveller^®. Created by Marc Miller in the late 70's, it's been through several incarnations through the decades and has thousands of rabid fans. Long before video game consoles kicked ass, all we had were our imaginations and some six-sided dice. The explosion of the Web has helped keep the game going as players connect with one another all over the planet, with websites providing DIY materials for people to use in their own campaigns. I'd be curious to know if PBEMs outnumbered in-person gaming.
