I don't need to tell you that this election cycle has been a contentious one. Both of the major parties, along with the new player on the scene, have been heaving ample piles of dung over the airwaves. While it's always important to get at the truth, on election day it's especially important to have all the facts before you cast your vote. FactCheck.org has always been a good source. My wife just told me about Politifact.com and their Truth-O-Meter. Definitely worth checking out.

And if you've got a website that you can recommend as a voter aid, feel free to share.

Amazon discontinued their blog app but offered RSS feed sync up. I wanted to keep my old blog for ranting and reviews so I started a new one, dubbed Launchpad. Basically, it'll serve as my Public Announcements page. It'll have the newsworthy chunks on releases but none of the story status updates or my grumblings. If you don't care about my writing and only visit this place to see what beer I'm raving about or if I've returned to political diatribes, then I guess there's no need for you to check it out.
