Ron Paul on The Daily Show

The interview went very well. Ron Paul hit many high points and even conceded that nothing's perfect (thus demonstrating he's no fanatic). And I believe that Jon Stewart was swayed. It's a good, rational discussion (for the 8+ minutes allotted) and Stewart holds up his end. It's too bad they didn't get to spend more time on it.

If you didn't see it, watch it now.

Ron is on the right track, and, as you may know, I support HR 1207. In the meantime, The banker cartel are going to fight tooth and nail and as dirtily as necessary to prevent a comprehensive audit. Hiring a lobbyist from Enron to extol the Fed's virtues and try to scare off Congress is the least of what they will pull.

With that in mind I give you a tin foil hat conspiracy moment:

One of the more interesting, that is to say compelling, theories on why J.F.K. was assassinated, has to do with his intention to issue silver certificates and, as Representative Paul would like to do, End The Fed.

I agree with you about the bankers fighting this tooth and nail. They certainly don't want to be held accountable to anyone.

I'm not one to believe in conspiracy theories though some hold water. Since I've seen the JFK assassination perfectly recreated with one gunman, I steer clear of # of gunmen claims.

However, motives are another story. Pissed off bankers is one worthy of consideration, though I didn't read Jim Marrs' book so I don't know what sort of evidence he presented.

If Ron Paul gets taken out, then that will certainly give the theory a lot more credence. However, I think it's too late for that, or even resorting to discrediting him.
In fact, since about 300 Congressmen support HR 1207, I'd say that it's nearing critical mass.

The issue is too far in the light for the shadow world of bankers to make disappear. That's not to say HR 1207 supporters have won just yet. However, it won't get swept under the rug so easily as anti-Fed talk has in the past.

Good stuff.

The fact that he's considered a freak, while charletans like Obama, McCain, and Bush are considered "mainstream" and "normal" is a terrible indictment of our society.
