Dictator For Life, Delayed

Despite threatening to cut off oil to the US for what must be the fiftieth time, Hugo Chavez's attempt to become dictator-for-life has been delayed. The Venezuelan electorate voted against his proposal to remove term limits and lengthen terms. Apparently decreasing the work day from 8 hours to 6 wasn't enough of a bone to woo his opponents.

Chavez has vowed to continue his "socialist revolution", which, as we learned from Castro in Cuba, is just another way to describe his move to fascism. Apparently the ringtone is a hit.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend logic? I don't know. That's like saying you liked Stalin* because he hated Hitler.

*Sure he was our ally in WW2, but he was still an evil motherfucker.

Fuck you, Edgar. You know I despise Lieberman and every time he's been re-elected I wonder why my fellow residents of Connecticut can't see through his crap. Don't go pinning his re-election on me. You don't see me blaming you for your elected representatives.
